A hotel dating back to 1782 with extra rooms added in new outbuildings. There are several areas on different levels in this pub with a central bar to handle residents, diners and drinkers. Thaxted is a gem of a town still with market days on Fridays, a windmill to visit, you can even find Gustav Holst's plaque and other interesting historical buildings.
